Last week, NASCAR hosted its largest event of the year at the Daytona 500, and it had been about as unpredictable as one could expect.Denny Hamlin, a man known as a king of the restrictor-plate races, took home the triumph as a massive crash knocked out a huge section of the area down the stretch.
This week in Atlanta Motor Speedway, there will be many sins on the track as racing begins.
Kevin Harvick is the clear favorite at 4/1 odds with eight top-10 finishes in his last 10 races and just two career wins on the trail there. While Busch also includes two wins at AMS and five top 10s in his last 10 races, kyle Busch and Joey Logano both have 6/1 chances. Logano has no wins, but four finishes.
And while Martin Truex Jr. and Brad Keselowski can get lost in the shuffle, they’re more than formidable in Georgia.
So who wins this week? It might be foolish to choose against Harvick, but Kyle Larson is due for a win. Atlanta could be the spot for him, although the 26-year-old went without a win year. Larson has three top-10 finishes and another place finish in five career races at AMS.
